The book I have on the go at the moment is also called "The Battle of Britain' (by Richard Hough and Dennis Richards). I can't find an ISBN. It's a write up from 1991(ish) and is very dry in places still very interesting.

The most interesting bit for me covers the 1931 to 1939 period covering the preparation for war. Especially how it was possible to develop and implement technology so quickly during a depression.
